Emily Solar
Stretching across Clark, Cumberland and Coles Counties in eastern Illinois, the Emily Solar project adds 273.6 megawatts of homegrown electricity to the regional grid. That output can power more than 46,000 homes and businesses, helping keep the lights on in neighborhoods, farms, and main street shops across the area. Emily Solar delivers cost‑competitive, reliable electricity at a time when Illinois communities are using more power than ever.

Francisco Solar
Francisco Solar is a transformative clean energy project located in Gibson County, Indiana. Backed by RWE, one of America’s largest clean energy developers, this project integrates 250 MW of solar energy generation.

Friendsville Solar

Gateway Solar & Storage
The Gateway Solar & Storage project is a pioneering renewable energy initiative located in Randolph County, Illinois. By placing solar and storage facilities on land once used for underground coal mining, the project continues the area’s legacy as an energy leader, transitioning from coal to clean energy.

Independence Solar and Bess
Independence is a 200 MW solar energy and 60 MW battery storage project located in the central region of Louisiana, sited in St. Helena & Tangipahoa Parishes.

Janus Solar and BESS Project
Janus Solar is an 80 MW and 320MWh BESS pro-ject currently in development in Colusa County, California.

Kyan Solar

Rainbow Trout Solar
Rainbow Trout Solar is a proposed 120MW utility-scale solar project located in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Designed to meet the rapidly rising energy needs driven by American manufacturing, industry, and the growing demand for grid electrification, Rainbow Trout Solar will generate enough power for approximately 20,000 homes while occupying less than 1% of the county farmland.

Rouget Road Solar Farm

Sandy Run Solar

Sculpin Solar
Sculpin Solar is a 180 megawatt (MW) solar project located in DeKalb County, Indiana, designed to deliver American-produced clean energy directly into the Indiana grid. Sculpin Solar will harness the power of advanced photovoltaic (PV) technology to generate enough electricity to power up to 30,000 homes and businesses throughout the region.

Silver Maple Solar
Silver Maple Solar is a 200 MW clean energy project located in Zeeland and Jamestown Townships, Ottawa County, Michigan, developed and operated by RWE Americas. Scheduled to begin operations soon, this state-of-the-art solar farm is designed to generate enough electricity to power over 34,057 American homes.

Sleeping Giant Solar and BESS
Sleeping Giant Solar and BESS, located in Routt County, Colorado, is a renewable energy initiative combining solar power with battery energy storage systems (BESS). This colocated project boasts an impressive installed capacity of 215 MW PV and 125 MW BESS, capable of powering approximately 44,647 homes annually.

Stargazer Solar
The Stargazer Solar Project is expected to be constructed in McKean County, Pennsylvania, several miles south of Smethport on privately owned land.
RWE will own, build, and operate the project from start to finish, meaning RWE will maintain responsibility and ownership of the solar project over the course of its entire lifespan. From construction to decommission, the responsibility stays in one set of hands.
RWE is committed to being a respectful community partner.

Switchgrass Solar Farm
Switchgrass Solar Farm is a 69 megawatt (MWac) solar project currently under development in Suffolk, Virginia.

Trapper Solar and BESS
Trapper Solar and BESS, located in Routt County, Colorado, is a renewable energy initiative combining solar power with battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Tundra A Solar and Bess
Tundra is a 130MW solar energy and 50MW battery storage project located in South Central Colorado, sited in Pueblo County.

Willowbrook Solar
The Willowbrook Solar Project is a flagship 150-megawatt (MW) clean energy addition in Brown and Highland Counties, Ohio. Led by RWE, one of America’s largest clean energy producers, this solar farm is designed to generate reliable power for more than 24,145 homes annually. Beyond providing a substantial American energy supply, Willowbrook embodies a forward-thinking approach to adding new capacity, bolstering U.S. energy independence, and growing domestic industry.

Yellow Bell Solar and BESS
Yellow Bell Solar is a 200 MW solar and storage project currently in development in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Ashwood Solar
Ashwood Solar, situated in Lyon County, Kentucky, is an ambitious 86 MW solar project by RWE. This innovative project promises to generate enough clean energy to power over 14,644 homes, contributing significantly to the region's sustainability goals.

CES Farrell Solar
Staten Island, NY
Monsignor Farrell High School, located in the Oakwood section of Staten Island, was the second community solar project the Archdiocese of New York initiated with RWE Americas. RWE Americas designed, built, and manages the facility for the Archdiocese. The school, local churches, and parishioners are subscribed, which lets them save on their electricity costs while supporting local solar power development.

CES Moore Solar
Staten Island, NY
The Archdiocese of New York engaged RWE Americas to design, build, install, and manage a community solar facility at Moore Catholic High School. Subscribers include the school, local churches, and parishioners. Subscribing to community solar enables these participants to save on their electricity costs while supporting Pope Francis’ edict on climate change and the environment.

Emily Solar

Hull & Vauxhall
The large-scale photovoltaic plants Hull (Prairie Sunlight II, 25 MW) and Vauxhall (Prairie Sunlight III, 22 MW) are located in Southern Alberta (Canada) and started commercial operation in July and August 2020.
Together the two solar parks produce enough green electricity to supply the equivalent of about 12,500 Canadian homes.
Marbletown Community Solar
Marbletown, NY
The Marbletown community solar project is designed, built, and managed by RWE Americas on land that was once a farm. The site is quietly producing clean, green energy for Central Hudson Gas and Electric customers. This is the first community solar project operated by RWE Americas in the Central Hudson utility territory and businesses and residents in the nearby communities can save on their electricity costs while supporting local solar power. Based upon the EPA equivalencies calculator, this facility can meet the electricity needs of approximately 860 average homes.

Mesquite Solar Complex
Located near Phoenix, Arizona, the Mesquite Solar Complex houses five solar farms alongside co-located battery projects, with a net capacity of nearly 600 MW.

Northampton Community Solar
Florence, MA
RWE Americas designed, installed and manages a community solar facility on a site near Northampton, Massachusetts. RWE Americas transformed a former rock quarry into a facility producing clean solar energy. RWE Americas also planted trees on the quarry site and donated more than 20 acres to the town for preservation in its natural state. Over 150 residential and commercial subscribers are saving money on their electricity costs each month while they support local solar power.

Tamworth and Tanager
At the end of 2019, RWE commissioned two solar farms, Tamworth and Tanager in North Carolina, with a total capacity of around 10 MW. Together the solar plants will generate enough green electricity to supply the equivalent of over 2,000 US homes. Both projects further benefit from 15-year power purchase agreements with Duke Energy.
Tech Park Solar
Tech Park Solar (TPS) is our first solar project built in North America, located in Pima County, Arizona, and started generating power in December 2012. TPS is a 5 MW (AC) solar generation facility developed in collaboration with the Campus Research Corporation at the University of Arizona. It is a collaborative hub for researchers and the industry to promote and develop renewable energy. TPS provided over 150 construction jobs and will contribute about $170,000 per year in property tax revenues to Pima County.
Valencia Solar
Valencia Solar, 11 MW (AC) is RWE’s largest solar generation facility in Pima County, Arizona, and came online in June 2013. The facility stands out for being the first North American project for which we performed all engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. Construction coordinated the activities of 10 main suppliers of civil and electrical work including the provision and installation of inverters/transformers, trackers, switchgear and modules, cable laying and combiner box connection set-up. E.ON Climate and Renewables as RWE Americas's predecessor managed Valencia’s design, construction and operation to maximize local input in close cooperation with local government, civic organizations and the community.
West of the Pecos
West of the Pecos (WOTP) is a 100 megawatt (MWac) solar plant located in Reeves County, Texas, approximately 75 miles southwest of Midland-Odessa. Pecos is the county capital and seat of the Reeves County Administration in the state of Texas in the United States. The project utilizes nearly 350,000 solar modules on a surface of 550 football pitches and covers more than 700 acres within the county leased from Texas Pacific Land Trust and Texas General Land Office. WOTP is RWE’s first solar project in Texas and is currently the company’s largest solar facility in the U.S.
