Sculpin Solar is a 180 megawatt (MW) solar project located in DeKalb County, Indiana, designed to deliver American-produced clean energy directly into the Indiana grid. Sculpin Solar will harness the power of advanced photovoltaic (PV) technology to generate enough electricity to power up to 30,000 homes and businesses throughout the region.
Currently in active development, Sculpin Solar is strategically sited on cleared, flat land with immediate access to existing transmission infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient delivery of power. The project is a mutually beneficial partnership with local landowners who are diversifying land use and protecting their family farms while supporting the local community through direct economic benefits.
Sculpin Solar is a demonstration of RWE’s vision for the future of American energy: clean, affordable and reliable power that meets the rising demands of U.S. manufacturing, electrification, and economic development. Sculpin Solar fits in with Indiana’s energy growth plans by adding significant new energy capacity to Indiana’s grid, helping the Hoosier State become less-reliant on outside fuel sources as it moves toward energy independence. It is a vital energy addition—supporting the local economy, providing stable tax revenues and building a stronger foundation for American industry and jobs.
