Participating Connecticut Homeowners can earn up to $1,100 annually* for the next five years by enrolling their new PWRcell battery in the program.

Payments & Discounts

Annual incentive payments and up-front discounts vary depending on your PWRcell battery capacity and utility provider, in accordance with the chart2.

If you select to receive the discount you will not be eligible to receive incentive payments; and vice versa.

FAQs

  • Energy Storage Solutions is a Connecticut-based demand response program that leverages energy storage systems, like the Generac PWRcell battery, to alleviate electrical grid stress during times of peak energy use. Utility companies pay incentives to participants, based on the output of their PWRcell during the program.

  • Because Energy Storage Solutions payments are contingent upon battery output, inclement weather or uncontrollable factors could lead to a lower payment. That’s why Generac created the Guaranteed Incentive program. By providing guaranteed incentives, we can offer incentive transparency and protect you from possible downside.

    At all times, our Network Operations Center will monitor and optimize your battery for you, providing an annual breakdown to show how your PWRcell battery performed.

  • The Guaranteed Incentive Program offers two incentive options, so you’re empowered to make the choice that’s best for you. If you are a new PWRcell customer, the one-time up-front discount can help significantly reduce the cost of your PWRcell investment. Or, if you prefer to receive incentives on an ongoing basis, the annual payment option may be a good fit.

    With the annual payment option, there’s an opportunity to receive even greater upside. You will never receive less that the guaranteed amount, but you may be able to receive more than the guaranteed amount. Generac will optimize your PWRcell’s utility performance earnings & pass 90% directly to you – including payments exceeding your guaranteed amount!
