Brady Island Wind

Project introduction

The Brady Island Wind project is a cutting-edge clean energy initiative located in Lincoln County, Nebraska. With a planned 200 MW capacity, this wind farm will generate enough reliable power to supply more than 50,000 U.S. homes annually. As part of RWE’s commitment to energy addition, this project will contribute to America’s growing need for dependable, domestically produced power while creating local jobs and boosting the regional economy.

Slated to begin operations in 2028, Brady Island represents responsible land use and innovation, spanning 35,000 acres of private land—just 3% of Lincoln County pastureland. The project highlights RWE’s dedication to supporting local landowners by providing a stable, 30-year income source while minimizing its impact on the surrounding community and infrastructure.

Emphasizing safety and efficiency, this wind farm will be monitored through RWE's advanced remote operations center, operating 24/7, year-round. It’s not just about energy; it’s about fostering economic and health benefits for Nebraska and beyond.
